Well, now you can watch the moment when a baby is born on the big screen in a public car park.
In the latest instalment of the ‘BabyBike’ series, the makers of the UK’s biggest ever car-sharing service, BabyBike, have released a video of a baby being born in a parking garage in central London.
You can see a mother riding the car as her son plays in the background, before the baby is rolled into the car and the baby’s head is raised high.
This video was filmed by an employee at BabyBikes central London office, who says it’s the first time he’s seen a baby riding a car.
BabyBikes boss Matt Roberts says it is a “very unique moment”, and hopes it will inspire others to take up the baby-sharing lifestyle.
“There are so many great ways to have a child that we just don’t have time for now,” he says.
“And I think that’s where baby-sharers can help.”
The way they do it is through baby-shares.
If you get a baby, share it with others and have them join you, so you can get your own baby.
“BabyBiking’s founders, Ryan and Alex, say it is “an incredibly powerful way to help women get out of the house and be more independent”.
Ryan says: “The idea of being able to give the birth in a quiet public space has definitely resonated with people.”
I think that we are seeing more and more people coming out into the streets and into public spaces to share their babies, so it’s great to see that people are taking that up.”
The videos are available to view on BabyBiking for £15 a month.
The service has now grown to over 30,000 members.
